On Saturday, January 03, 2009 Olena Lazorenko Jr. hosted Xmas party where she treated guests with special Xmas tea, glue wine and home-made cookies. The First Eurasian Summit on Corporate Social Responsibility: strategy and the best practice of sustainable development in Eurasia was organized by the Association of managers, Kommersant- Ukraine and Highest School of Management of St Petersburg State University on January 27, 2009. At the summit there were discussed the specifics of efficient CSR management, development of systemic approach to the introduction of the concept and CSR practice development, creation of tangible competitive advantages of business acquired through CSR, social strategies of business in an unfavorable market environment and CRS prospects. More than 200 representatives of top management of major corporations, international and civic organizations, state power, mass media, experts and science from Russia and Eurasian countries took part in the summit. Meeting of the steering committee of the Third International Conference on CSR of the magazine Expert Ukraine. The meeting of the steering committee of the Third International Conference on CSR of the magazine Expert Ukraine was held in early February to discuss the agenda, format of the conference and speakers. The conference is to be held on April 29, 2009. Alisa Perkovska, Expert Ukraine informed that participants of the conference will get the second edition of Corporate Social Responsibility of business: experts assessment and practice in Ukraine In Russian), K, 2008. The book consists of three parts, the first being CSR success stories, the second part contains the articles on CSR by Olena Lazorenko, Marina Saprikina, Marina Starodubska, Rodion Kolyshko and CSR experience of Ukrainian and foreign companies (DTEK, ISD, TNK-BP Commerce, Rusal, Microsoft Ukraine, KievStar, British American Tobacco and Ernst &Young (Russia); the third part is dedicated to the evaluation and monitoring of CSR responsibility. Training "Appling the principles of Green Office in the organization". February 25, 2009 - participants of the Global Treaty, including LPW members, took part in the training "Appling the principles of Green Office in the organization" held at Kiev Mohyla Academy. The training covered key issues to turn the offices into environmentally friendly businesses and was conducted by Olena Maslukivska, chair of ecology of Kiev Mohyla Academy. February 28, 2009 ðîêó – Kiev Resource Center for American Alumni (ACTR/ACCELS) held the second Annual International Conference "Women in Business". Olena Lazorenko, ICC director and LPW President, made a presentation Women Career Development and Social Network: LPW Case.
