Ukrainian SME Focus Group Post Pelease10.04.2012 On 4 April 2012 the Focus Group Meeting with women and medium entrepreneurs (SME), organised by NGO “League of Professional Women” (LPW) at the Conference hall of the Institute of Philosophy, National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine in Kyiv, Ukraine took place. 9 businesswomen from Central, Western and Eastern parts of Ukraine (three pilot regions – Kyiv, Kharkiv and Ivano-Frankivsk) - LPW members and partners took part in the focus group’s meeting. Focus group was moderated by Dr. Olena Lazorenko with assistance of Mrs. Nataliia Martynenko and Mrs.Viktoria Mikhailenko. The focus group was organized within BSO Twinning East Invest Project “Building capacities and twinning cooperation for effective support to women entrepreneurs, in the framework of the East Invest Programme” the Activity 2: Ukrainian SMEs’ Training Needs Analysis. The EU-funded East Invest Project is implemented by EUROCHAMBERS. Twinning Project’s activities started with priority learning needs analysis to identify what services are more required by Ukrainian women entrepreneurs. The focus group was aimed at examining the results and discussing how they can meet the identified learning needs. The study and focus groups’ outcomes will be synthesized in a Needs Analysis Document. This Document will serve also the information on improvement of services proposed by LPW and by our European twinning partners: Siauliai Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Crafts (SCCIC), Lithuania and Formaper – Milan Chamber of Commerce, Industry, Handicraft and Agriculture, Italy. LPW thanks the focus group’s participants for their time contribution into the Project as well as our partners - the Institute of Philosophy, National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine and “International Consulting Company” Ltd for co-donation in organisation of the event.
