Workshop in Kyiv devoted to the third anniversary of the Agenda 2030

Our workshop “Adult Learning Policy as Pathway to Implement European Integration of Ukraine & SDG #4”, organized by NGO "League of Professional Women" (LPW) and NGO "Institute of Professional Qualifications" under the auspices of Ukrainian side of the EU-Ukraine Civil Society Platform with support of the Civic Synergy Project, took place in Kyiv, Ukraine, 24 September 2018. The event hosted by British Council Ukraine in Kyiv within the framework of UN SDG Action Campaign of the Global Day on Sustainable Development. We thank all who joined in global process in Kyiv, and our today step is sharing in 25 September on this topic #act4sdgs, #lpw2018 in the social media.

Welcome speeches by Amina Mohammed, UN Deputy Secretary-General, (through Internet https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=X0O6ew8p5Kk&feature=youtu.be), Olga Kvashuk, manager of European Program at the International Renaissance Foundation, Simon Williams, director of British Council in Ukraine, Tetiana Panchenko, state expert of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine.

During workshop lunched policy paper on "What Should Be the Adult Learning Policy in Ukraine?” by Dr.Olena Lazorenko and Dr.Rodion Kolishko (in Ukrainian) which is focused on analyzing problem issues and proposing options for developing a policy on adult learning and adult education in Ukraine. Policy paper conducted with the support of the European Union and the International Renaissance Foundation within the framework of the Civic Synergy Project.

After presentation, conducted discussion on new Adult Learning Policy in Ukraine recommendations for national and local policy makers in general, and gender equality in sectoral policy for adult education and learning in particularly. Summarizing, next steps on advocacy in Adult Learning issue in Ukraine will be announcement which we plan to inform you on our web-site.
