30th June 2015 Dr. Olena Lazorenko, LPW President and leader of local women`s entrepreneurship community* took part at a UN Gender Theme Group meeting at UN House in Kyiv, Ukraine. The meeting moderated by Nuzhat Ehsan, Representative for Ukraine, Country Director for Belarus, United Nations Population Fund
The Agenda items included:
1. Welcome and Introductions
2. Update by the Ministry of Social Policy on the Study Tour to Sweden / gender mainstreaming – what can be applied to Ukraine; Update on UN SCR 1325 - Mr.Sergey Ustymenko, Deputy Minister of Social Policy of Ukraine
3. Presentation on High Level Forum on Financing for Development, Addis Ababa, July, Ms. Oksana Kisselyova, UN Women National Project Coordinator.
4. Discussion on GBV interventions: upcoming GBV assessment, Standard Operating Procedures etc.
The next meeting will be in beginning of September 2015
