On November 30, 2009 the United Nations in Ukraine together with the Verkhovna Rada Committee on Industrial and Regulatory Policy and Entrepreneurship conducted committee hearings "Developing Corporate Social Responsibility: Ukrainian Perspective" initiated by the Global Compact network.
The hearings focused on creating a dialogue to develop a national policy and action plan for promoting and aligning corporate social responsibility in Ukraine with larger developmental goals of the country. Participants of the hearing included government representatives, leading Ukrainian and multinational companies working in Ukraine, the diplomatic corps and other international institutions and NGOs. Dr.Olena Lazorenko took part in this public hearings from NGO "League of Professional Women"(LPW)" -LPW is member of UN Global Compact.
